Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points

The congress will be accredited by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board for CPD points.

 

Language

The official language of the Congress will be English. No simultaneous translation into any other language will be provided.

 

Currency

Uganda Shillings / US dollars.

 

Climate

Average temperature: 16 – 22° C. Light jacket essential for the evenings.

 

Electricity

The electricity supply in Uganda Plug type G | Plug Standard | Residential Voltage 240 volts | Frequency 50Hz.

 

Time

Uganda is GMT + 3 hours.

 

Traveling to Uganda, Kampala and the Venue:

Travel options:

The country of Uganda is in East Africa and it lies at latitude and longitude of 5.6944° S, 36.3223° E. The country is accessible through Air, water and roads from neighboring countries. Kampala city is a global tourist destination and is the center of the northern Uganda safari circuit.
There are buses from Nairobi to Kampala Uganda through Busia Boarder which arrive in Kampala the morning of the second day of travel. For those who will opt to fly the final destination should be Entebbe International Airport, (EIA) which receive international flights on daily basis. Taxis/hire vehicles are available to Speke Munyonyo Resort which is located just 27 KM from EIA.

VISA

It is strongly suggested that all travelers check the latest visa requirements with the nearest Uganda Embassy or Consulate before travelling, Travelers entering Uganda from countries where yellow fever is endemic are often required to present their yellow World Health Organization (WHO) vaccination record or other proof of inoculation.

CANCELLATION OF THE CONGRESS (PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY) OR INABILITY OF REGISTERED PARTICIPANT TO ATTEND THE CONGRESS


The COECSA, the Host society/organization, Congress Secretariat, Congress Organizers or their suppliers cannot be held liable if the congress is partially or completely cancelled, or postponed, or if a registered participant (or company) cannot attend due to an epidemic, a threat to international health or safety, strike, fire, Force Majeure, flood or any circumstance beyond the control of the Organizing Committee.
No refund of the accommodation prepayments or deposits, exhibition payment or deposits, or registration fees will be made.


INSURANCE, SECURITY AND SAFETY


The Congress organizers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of, or damage to, property belonging to Congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Congress. Please check the validity of your own insurance.


Participants are required to make and carry their own health and travel insurance. Neither the Congress Organizer and Secretariat, nor any of their contracted service providers, will be responsible for the safety of articles of any kind brought into the congress facilities by congress participants, whether registered or not, their agents, contractors visitors and/or any other person/s whatsoever.


The congress participant indemnifies the organizers and associates of the organizers, and their subcontractors of any costs, demands and expenses or any other claims as a result of any damage, loss or injury caused to any person as a result of any act or default of the Congress Secretariat or a person representing the Congress Secretariat, their contractors or guests.
The congress participants are therefore reminded to take all necessary precautions to prevent any loss or damage to his/her property with special regard to mobile phones, carry-/handbags and computing equipment.


CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

Applications Applications to cancel must be made in writing. 20% administration fee will be non-refundable.
After 15th July 2017 – No Refund will be made.
Kindly note that refunds will be processed after the congress.
No refunds will be made for lunches not taken or social events not attended.

The acceptance of a product or service for exhibition does not in any manner constitute an endorsement by the Organisers, the Host Committee, the COECSA board or the Congress Committees.

Terms and conditions will apply. It is the responsibility of the attendees to acquaint themselves with the Terms and Conditions of the hotels, organizers, suppliers and service providers.
COECSA Exhibitor code of good practice and guidelines are available on request and will be communicated to registered Sponsors and Exhibitors.
